All of our diverter pulley castings are produced to the same British Standard as our traction sheave castings. We can manufacture diverters up to 64” (1625mm) diameter with machined “U” grooves to standard or your own specification. We can supply complete assemblies, i.e. with shafts, dead eye housings and keeper plates etc.

Our diverter pulleys can be fitted with any bearing type, whether the sealed type, or with high load bearings such as cylindrical roller bearings or taper roller bearings, to name a few. In addition, we can fit the more traditional phosphor bronze bush (commonly called PB1).

A well as manufacturing new diverters we can also re-profile the rope grooves subject to there being sufficient material under the rope groove along with carrying out hardness tests on the rim section, to ensure it conforms to the stresses placed upon.

We carry out as standard a Brinell hardness test on all castings before the manufacturing process to ensure they meet the minimum required BHN band 220-245. Castings that fail this test are rejected.
